John 1:1-2 In the beginning (before all time) was the Word (Chrsit) and the Word was with God and the Word was God Himself. He was (continually existed) in the beginning (co-eternally) with God.
On Tuesday night while in prayer, I had a conversation with the Lord that left an ache in my heart for His bride.
In the dream, I saw myself standing in a room infront of a table. There was a thick book with a unicorn on the cover. Jesus was standing next to me and He said, “Eunice, people say they know Me (Jesus) but they really don’t.” There was sadness in His voice and words. He picked up the unicorn book and ripped the cover off then handed it to me. “Just because you see a unicorn doesn’t mean you know about unicorns.” I knew where He was going with this, but I was still puzzled by the sadness in His voice so I asked. “What if they have been reading the word and they know the word?” Without missing a beat He said, “Many have read the word, memorized the word but they still don’t have the word. There is a difference in knowing the Author and knowing of the Author. They don’t know the Author. They can’t understand scripture without the Holy Spirit. They won’t know the Author without the Holy Spirit. They need the Holy Spirit to bring revelation and understanding.” He left me holding the cover of the unicorn book silently chewing on His words then I started praying that we would all desire to know the Author of the word. The Holy Spirit is amazing in bringing revelation and understanding, He beautifully cracks the scriptures open for you and introduces you to the Author.
I’m praying for a new hunger in the body of Christ to desire to know Him; not from mans perspective of who He is, but from His. He is the Word afterall. We all need the Holy Spirit. (John 14″16-17) (John 14:26-27)
